About the Role
As a Specialist, Appeals, you will be part of Amazon’s HR organization and support employees and alumni throughout their appeals journey.
The role requires handling confidential and sensitive employee information with a high level of integrity and professionalism. You will use analytical and critical-thinking skills to review appeal cases and contribute to continuous process improvement.
The position also requires strong customer service, communication, organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize work in a fast-changing HR environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Review appeal cases and identify the documentation required.
- Use Amazon policies and previous cases to assess appeal documentation.
- Check documents for accuracy and consistency.
- Review information related to disciplinary actions affecting employees.
- Investigate evidence and employee or witness statements.
- Determine whether HR policies were applied correctly and consistently.
- Identify process defects and recommend appropriate improvements.
- Handle confidential and sensitive HR information responsibly.

Eligibility Criteria
Candidates should have:
- At least 3 years of Human Resources experience.
- Experience working with HR processes and systems.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree.
- Experience managing high-volume and time-sensitive workloads.
- Experience handling confidential and sensitive HR information.
- Strong analytical and critical-thinking abilities.
- Excellent attention to detail.
