Kia Prepares the Next-Gen Seltos

The next-generation Kia Seltos is currently under testing and is expected to make its global debut early next year, followed by an Indian launch. While it promises a complete redesign inside and out, speculation is strong that a hybrid powertrain may be added to the range later, aligning with Kia’s sustainable strategy.

Renault Duster Returns in a Hybrid Avatar

Renault is set to reintroduce the Duster with major upgrades. Based on the CMF-B+ platform, the new Duster will be technically advanced and more premium. It is also expected to come with a globally available hybrid powertrain, showcasing Renault’s renewed focus on the midsize SUV market in India.

Renault and Nissan Plan 7-Seater Hybrid SUVs

The hybrid plans don’t stop at five-seaters. Both Renault and Nissan are considering launching seven-seater SUVs based on the globally available Bigster. 

These models are expected to include hybrid options, further expanding their appeal to larger families looking for fuel-efficient alternatives.

Mahindra’s Hybrid Expansion

Mahindra, a brand known for its stronghold in the SUV space, is reportedly adapting its INGLO platform to support hybrid variants. 

The XEV 9e and BE 6 are the initial candidates expected to receive hybrid technology as the company eyes broader adoption across its EV and hybrid portfolio.

Hyundai’s Next Creta and Ni1i SUV

Hyundai, too, is preparing to enter the hybrid segment with the next-generation Creta, scheduled for 2027. 

It will feature major design updates and will reportedly share a 1.5L hybrid powertrain with the upcoming Ni1i SUV, positioned between the Alcazar and Tucson. 

These vehicles aim to blend innovation, performance, and efficiency.
